Baines Camp: Okavango Delta Botswana Safari

Camp’s Quick Facts:

Baines’ Camp, is named after the famous explorer and artist (Thomas Baines) of the nineteenth century, the camp is built amongst pristine shady trees and the water of the Okavango delta and purely located within the land sparse of 260 000 acres on a private concession near the neighbouring borders of Moremi Game Reserve. The camp’s intimacy features five beautifully furnished suites built on an elevated platforms in the tree line. The Camp’s wooden decks offer wide expansive views over the permanent water of the Boro River and a lagoon teeming with spectrum of wildlife.

The bedrooms, bath rooms and Surroundings:

The elevated suites feature luxurious bedroom, with softly draped fabrics adding the unique romantic touch of a bygone era. The four-poster beds are fully mobile, giving guests the choice of slumber under star laden skies. Avid astronomers delight on stargazing from this privacy its own deck will enjoy Baines camp. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, ceiling fan, in-room safe and minibar.

The main area features an oversize deck for outdoor dining and views over the permanent water of the lagoon, as well as a swimming pool with a thatched sala on either side.

Camp’s Accessibility:

The Baines Camp is located in Okavango Delta swamps and can only be accessed by a charter flight from Manu town’s Botswana tourism capital.
