Chitabe Lediba: Okavango Delta Botswana Safari

Camp’s Quick Facts:

In the south-east of the Okavango Delta neighbouring the Moremi Game Reserve lays the magnificent Chitabe Concession which encompass the massive 28 000 hectares of unspoiled natural habitats from savannah, to the islands filled with various vegetation tree-species and floodplains which makes the outstanding open grazing pastures for wildlife sightings. Chitabe Lediba camp has two family units adjoining bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms which carter for small intimate groups of families – regarded as a private camp for such a retreat.

Camp’s bedrooms, Bathrooms and Surrounding:

All five luxurious spacious Meru-styled types of tents are built on raised stilt decks, offering the same luxurious interiors décor similar to Chitabe main Camp. The en-suite bathrooms complement the African designed outdoor showers "with overlooking views of the floodplains. The lounge, dining area and the glamorous swimming pool views speculate the best surrounding of the floodplains and a small lediba (remnant lagoon which became a waterhole attracting variety of animal species coming to drink at the watering hole during the day) after which the camp was named.

Camp’s Quick Safari High-lights:

• Morning and afternoon game drives are explored on different areas.
• The evening night-drive with a spot light returning after dark usually give guests opportunities to spot nocturnal shy animal species such as Aardvark, civet, porcupine, less spotted genet, serval, leopard, aardwolf and spotted hyenas.
• Game drives from Chitabe Lediba are shared in same area with Chitabe's Main camp.
• Most popular wildlife seen in Chitabe concession includes herd of elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and cheetah.
• African painted wild dogs are regular visitors in the area.
• Guests are also exposed to view impala, zebra, and red lechwe, tsessebe, giraffe and kudu antelopes from the camp deck room during the afternoon siesta time.
• Two built up hides within the camp offer guests an opportunity to "sleep out" and experience the nature in its wild at night as well as platforms being used during the day game viewing.

Located in Okavango Delta swamps, Chitabe lediba Camp can only be accessed by a charter flight from Maun town the tourism capital of Botswana.
