Camp Quick Facts:

Chitabe Camp is located on the beautiful island in the south east of Okavango Delta in a private concession area. In contrast with the area further north, the area fascinates with its mosaic bushveld of mopane woodland, acacia, riverine forest forming the perennial of the Delta and play host to diversity of wildlife and bird-watching safari viewing.

The Camp bedroom, bathroom and Surrounding:

Chitabe Camp offers beautifully furnished eight spacious Meru-style type of tents built on elevated wooden decks amongst the trees. Each luxurious tent offer twin/double beds en-suite facilities with an indoor and an outdoor showers. The cooler thatched dining area, pub and lounge area are built on raised decks to provide superb breeze so as offering a spectacular views across the floodplain, and with a swimming pool allowing guests to cool off in the heat of the day after the morning or before the afternoon game drive activities.

Camp’s Quick Safari High-lights:

• Chitabe’s diversity habitats surrounded water eco-systems identify a great abundance of wildlife to be seen while on safari activities, including seeing great sightings such as; herd elephant, buffalo, and pride of lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, impala, zebra and tsessebe.
• African painted wild dogs are occasionally regular visitors to Chibate floods plains sighted while on safari.
• Night drives are conducted for guests to have opportunity to see rare nocturnal mammals not seen during the day such as serval, genet, civet, white large tailed mongooses, aardwolf, honey-badger, porcupine and antbear.
• Activities include day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, walking safari on foot and spectacular bird-watching.
• Chitabe has two elevated hides located in the reserve, one of which is a walking distance from the camp.
• Guests can experience a "sleep out" under the African stars in full comfort, safety; enjoy sight and sounds of African wilderness.

Camp Accessibility:

Located in Okavango Delta swamps, Chitabe Camp can only be accessed by a charter flight from Maun town the tourism capital of Botswana.
