Deception Valley Lodge is a complete luxury and a unique safari lodge situated in the Central Kalahari. The lodge’s grand importancy in particular is to highlight the opportunity to learn the historical knowledge of the San people’s (Bushmen) cultural diversity in the Kalahari and to interact with them so as to explore the endless desert views.

Camp’s Bedrooms, bathrooms and Surrounding:

The main lodge consists of a dining room, lounge and bar area decorated in warm Kalahari colours making use of the San people and other African artefacts. The lodge deck overlooks a nearby watering- hole. The lodge is equiped with an inviting swimming pool and the African boma for evening meals with Sani people traditional dance music. The bathroom showcase the ensuite victorian styles, with an outside showers and a private spacious lounge. The lodge has as roof ceiling fans, mosquito nets, private room mini-bars. hairdryers, shaving plugs and bathrobes as standard. All rooms are positioned in separate built-up on stilts and each is connected with a wooden walkway to the main lodge. The lodge is private and accommodated a maximum of ten guests. The twin-bedded rooms offer an ethnic African themes furnished in vibrant rustic colours to make guests feel at home while completely spoiled with excellence service staff.

• Activities include day and night games drives in open 4 x 4 vehicles.
• Guided walking safaris nature with experienced guides.
• Bird watching trips are conducted or birdwatching can be identified from the deck at the main lodge or in a hide at one of the watering holes.
• The best highlight is to take a guided walking safari with the Bushmen to explore their culture, bush skill survivals and their extraordinary hunting knowledge of the veld and animal life.
• Other specialized walking safari will include exploring the survival of plant, animal and man in this arid semi desert – are also offered on prior arrangement by the lodge management

Camp Accessibility:

Located in Central Kalahari, the camp can only be accessed by a charter flight from Johannesburg, or Maun town, the tourism capital of Botswana,or a designed 4x4 vehicle to the reach area safely.
