In addition your stay directly benefits wildlife conservation.

Local Community Conservation Partnership: The Conservation Partnership between the Tree-Camp owners and the Masai villages of Lokisale and Makayuni is an initiative which benefits the local community with a direct share of revenue from the Tarangire Tree-camps' earnings on accommodation, plus an annual land lease fee. The income is spent on improving the school buildings, clinic and dispensary, erecting water pumps and grading of roads. In return the local community ensures wildlife conservation in the conservancy area, by limiting the encroachment of farming and cattle grazing, putting a halt to snaring and poaching, charcoal burning and deforestation in order to allow the area to return to its natural wild state.
