Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp is set in the remote reaches of the Park, on a by-water of the Grumeti River, known for its wildebeest crossings and enormous Nile crocodiles. Tucked into a strip of riverine forest, guests thrill to the antics of spectacular pied Colobus monkeys found nowhere else in the Serengeti, the Camp enjoys the sounds and sightings of nocturnal serenades by orchestras of owls and bush-babies. The Serengeti National Park forms part of a huge conservation area, encompassing the adjacent Ngorongoro Conservation Area, as well as the Masai Mara in the neighboring Kenya. With no fences or man-made barriers, huge numbers of wildlife move freely throughout this area, constantly recreating an ageless natural cycle. The magnificent Serengeti is famed for its vast tree-less grasslands allowing for excellent wildlife sightings.

Camp’s Bedrooms, bathrooms and Surrounding:

Situated beneath tall evergreen trees, the whimsical sweep of flamboyant safari tents hides a blaze of colour in the delightful interiors, with quirky touches and tongue-in-cheek surprises. Al fresco showers are open to the African sky, while the calls of hippo provide a nightly serenade. Traditional fires and outdoor ovens produce mouth watering dinners under a billion stars. This is the perfect vantage point for one of the most famous fording points of the wildebeest migration. The Camp is built around with no fences or man-made barriers and guests are escorted with safari guides and warned to walk alone after dusk as numbers of wildlife move freely around the camp area and recreating an ageless natural cycle.

Camp Accessibility:

Situated in the unspoiled remote reaches of the Park tucked into strip of riverine forest of Grumeti River, the camp can be accessed by charter flights from Arusha/Kilimanjaro international airport into nearby airstrip or by road on customised 4x4 game-viewing vehicle and all guests are restricted to bring with 15kg sided soft duvel-bags of luggage.
