Sanctuary Kusini Camp: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania Safari

Camp’s Quick Facts:

Sanctuary Kusini is located in the southern central area of Serengeti National Park. The name Serengeti is derived from the Maasai language meaning ‘endless plains” which covers the area of 14.763 square kilometres making it one of the world largest sanctuaries on the planet. The site for Sanctuary Kusini was decided upon only after a great deal of research and input from Sanctuary's guides and local experts. This unspoilt area of the Serengeti is ideal for seeing wildebeest which congregate here during the calving season. The camp itself is built on a raised, wooded kopje - providing stunning views of the plains below from the main deck. The communal tent has a library, sitting room and veranda. Bush breakfasts and sundowners are served on the giant boulders of the kopje. Like all Sanctuary properties, Kusini is designed to have minimal environmental impact, in fact the camp can be packed up and removed without leaving a trace. The Camp’s Bedroom, Bathroom and Surroundings: The twelve luxurious accommodation tents are offered in shaded sited in cluster of kopjes form the shaded sun by the acacia trees, and all are positioned carefully in blending with seamlessly into the predator-rich plains of the Serengeti national park with thought out views of the plains below. Each tent has its own butler to look after guests during their stay. Each tent has its own private wooden veranda with comfortable furniture, the ideal spot to relax for a sundowner after a hot restorative shower. The Camp uses the inverted electrical energy and has a dining area, lounge, library all housed in the one main area forming the affordable spectacular views from the camp deck view adjacent with kopje.
