Camp’s Quick Facts:

Little Kwara Camp is a four-tented intimate camp situated on the edge of the permanent waters of the world renowned Okavango Delta. At Little Kwara Camp, guests are welcomed to discover why the Okavango Delta is considered one of the ecological wonders of Africa’s untouched ecosystems. The Okavango is calming, mysterious, and wildly unpredictable. Guests can enjoy a diversity composition of wildlife safari experience throughout the year, with a definite unique focus on water activities.

Camp’s Bedrooms, bathrooms and Surrounding:

Well positioned on the island within the private Kwara Concession, the spacious tents are elevated into the tree canopy on wooden decks offering the private veranda viewing, along with en suite facilities comprises of bathroom and inside/outside showers. The forested island on which the camp is built on is a typical of those encountered throughout the vast 1.6 million hectares of the Okavango Delta.

Camp’s Quick Safari high-lights:

• Activities include mokoro trips, safari guided walks with a qualified armed guide on one of many palm-fringed islands.
• Day and night game drives.
• Fishing is also offered on request.
• A day visit to the famous Godikwe lagoon in Moremi Game Reserve, where guests can stand on a boat literally eye to eye viewing thousands flock of herons, storks and other nesting birds.
• Bird-watching to spot other bird species found in the channels and rivers such as; kingfishers, pygmy geese, fish eagles, jacanas, darters and if you're really fortunate, the elusive Pel’s fishing owl.
• The Kwara area is home to a variety abundant of animals including lechwe, sitatunga, reedbuck, bushbuck, hippo, crocodile, elephant, buffalo, sable, roan, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, impala and tsessebe. Lion, hyena, wild dog, leopard and cheetah sightings.

Camp Accessibility:

Located in Okavango Delta swamps, Kwara Camp can only be accessed by a charter flight from Maun town, the tourism capital of Botswana.
