Camp’s Quick Facts:

Mombo Camp, is located on the northern tip of Chief's Island within the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta, the camp is built under large shady trees overlooking the open floodplains more often seen alive with variety of wildlife sightings. The area boasts enormously with concentrations of plains game and largest predatory habitat providing what is more arguably the best big safari game viewing in Botswana.

Camp’s Bedrooms, bathrooms and Surrounding:

Mombo camp accommodation comprises of nine spacious large tents raised up to two metres off the ground, giving the breathtaking views over the floodplains and swamps; the sala, long veranda and lounge area all take advantage of such vistas. Bathrooms are equipped with comfortable en-suite interiors, with show-casing indoor and outdoor showers. The main living and dining area is under thatch, so as a boma designed to offer guests African evening fire-folklore experience followed with delicious dinners under the African evening stars and a plunge pool to relax on a hot days after morning game drives Camp’s Quick Safari high-lights:

Activities at Mombo Camp mainly comprise of the following:

Morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 game-viewing vehicles:

• Morning or afternoon walking safaris (Optional)
• Large concentrations of plains game occur in front of the camp and guests may have opportunities to view a variety species of animals without even leaving the deck veranda.
• One often finds animals wandering past, right under the rooms.
• These drives explore the savannah and floodplains and are exciting with prolific sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, elephant, spotted hyaena, southern giraffe, blue wildebeest, Burchell's zebra and large buffalo herds.
• Black and white Rhino have been reintroduced with outstanding success to the area (albeit most are further away from camp), thanks to the Botswana Rhino Reintroduction Programme.

Camp Accessibility:

Located in Okavango Delta within Moremi game reserve, Mombo Camp can only be accessed by a charter flight from Maun town, the tourism capital of Botswana from Kasane international airport.
