Musango Safari Camp: Matusiadona National Park, Zimbabwe Safari

Camp’s Quick Facts:

Musango Safari Camp is situated on its own island, just off the shoreline of the Matusadona National Park. Offering an abundance of wildlife from buffalo, herds of elephants to the rare black rhino. Musango Safari Camp is also an ornithologist's paradise with a myriad of birds to be seen frequenting the bird-baths in front of the lodge and rooms.

Camp’s bedrooms, bathrooms and Surroundings:

The camp accommodates a maximum of 16 guests in thatched safari tents, each with an en-suite bathroom built out of natural stone. The front verandahs offer panoramic views of the Matusadona National Park and mountains across the lake Kariba. The swimming pool area and the bar/lounge platform offer an excellent place in which to relax and view wildlife game-viewing during the heat of the day.

• Activities include walking safari on foot into Matusiadona National Park.
• Track down the high success rate to locate the rare black rhinos.
• Game viewing by boat along the many inlets and creeks and leisurely canoeing - paddling up adjacent creeks where bird life is prolific and the scenery breathtaking.
• The camp also offers fishing activities by boats fully equipped with fishing tackles and bait.
• Visits the dinosaur fossil and early stone-age sites can be arranged as well as specialised birding trips.
• Morning visits to the nearby village are also possible. The Black Rhino orphanage, close to Musango, is well worth a visit.
• After break-fast, a village and school visits tour can be arranged to experience the Tonga legendary tribe who lived along the Zambezi Valleys more than 200years.

Camp Accessibility:

Located in its own island, just off the shoreline of the Matusadona National Park, Zimbabwe's premier wildlife destination, the Camp can be accessed by private speed boat 45km across the Lake from Kariba town or charter flight from Kariba airdrome as an easy access to reach the Camp at travel convenient.
