Camp’s Quick Facts:

Pom Pom Camp, named after the island where it is built on, the camp is situated in a private concession at the head waters of the Xudum river eco-system in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The camp enjoys good tranquil island water levels all year round. The concession share the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve offering the spectacular scenery combined with a true enjoyable Okavango wilderness experience.

Camp’s Bedrooms, bathrooms and Surrounding:

Pom Pom camp is built under a grove of shady trees overlooking the beautiful lagoon, fringed with covered African fragmite-reeds, water-lilies and full of hippopotamus, crocodiles sightings to enhance the beauty spectrum of the Okavango game-viewing safari and endless evening spectacular sunset. All nine luxurious accommodations consists of build up tents in traditional old safari style, all with full en-suite ablution facilities open to view the evening spectacular African skies. Each tent has a small unique small deck to view over the Pom Pom lagoon. The constructed thatch and tent canvas at the main building area comprises of sitting lounge, dining, bar and pool areas, gift shop and the boma area which give guests an African experience to eat outside.

• Safari activities mainly water based on Mkoro canoe rides (traditional Dug-out canoes) with experienced Poller Guides.
• Day, afternoon and evening night game drives are offered,
• Subject to somewhat dependant on water levels, safari short walks may be offered as optional activity.
• The Wildlife game densities can be relatively sparse and therefore an absolute place to indulge the great deal of Delta scenic and excellent bird-watching.

Camp Accessibility:

Located in Okavango Delta Island, the camp can only be accessed by a charter flight from Maun town, the tourism capital of Botswana, and then got transferred to the Camp by Mokoro ride/ a boat depending the high water-levels in winter months of June/July.
