River Club: Livingstone Victoria Falls, Zambia Safari

Camp’s Quick Facts:

The River Club is located 18km upstream from the world-famous Victoria Falls with its Edwardian-style house and manicured lawns on the banks of the swift-flowing Zambezi River. Ten luxury thatched chalets are spread out amongst the riverine vegetation, comprising luxurious bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, most being split level.

The Camp’s Bedroom, Bathroom and Surroundings:

One side of each chalet is completely open to the river, offering guests with an uninterrupted vista of the Zambezi spectrum gorge views and its far bank from both bed and bathtub. Each room looks west into glorious African sunsets best viewed from the privacy of a ball and claw bath, brim-full with bubbles. All chalets have a concertina screen door or window across the front of the bedroom and/or bathroom. The main area is a well-appointed residence, with a comfortable lounge, large dining room, impressive library and wide veranda on which breakfasts and teas are taken. Manicured lawns (where midday meals are often served) spread out beneath the trees and a croquet court is an ideal venue for a Pimm's-soaked croquet game. The pool has been built to seem part of the river itself, while a secluded deck with hammocks and loungers provides respite. Beauty treatments are available in the calico 'massage' tent.

• Simonga Village tour, school, local markets and Livingstone town
• A variety of other activities are available at extra cost, such as; white water rafting, bungee jumping, abseiling and helicopter flights over the Falls.
• With the Zambezi National Park just across the river, sightings like hippo and elephant are regularly heard and seen
• Prolific birdlife, particularly rich and tiger fishing is a challenge for keen collective fishermen

The River Club, located 18km upstream from the world-famous prime Victoria Falls destination on the banks of the swift-flowing Zambezi River, the lodge is accessed by any of the direct flights from either Lusaka/Livingstone/Johannesburg international airports as an easy access to visit Victoria Falls.
