Camp’s Quick Facts:

Savuti Camp is situated about 17 kilometers 'downstream' from the Zibadianja Lagoon, the source of the Channel completely isolated part of the Linyanti Concession along the Savute Channel in northern Botswana. In 1980s, the clear Savute deep channel which harboured hundreds of hippopotamus and aquatic life - dried up due to its geographic climatically weather shifts in the Linyanti fault system. What remained was unusual and the productive ribbon of grassland that now serves as a corridor feeding grounds in the surrounding woodland for a wide variety of herbivores is an exciting development that has been in recent years seen the channel flowed along varying distances of its length. Therefore, during the dry seasons such as in winter or spring, the waterhole in front of camp become the only source of water over a large area and offer excellent wildlife game-viewing.

Camp’s Bedrooms, bathrooms and Surrounding:

The camp’s intimacy en-suite accommodation provides its seven large walk-in to the tents raised off from the ground and face onto the Savute Channel's grasslands sight-viewings. The stunning Savute camp's thatched dining area and pub provide a complete wonderful view of the waterhole, a plunge pool and a large viewing area with fire pit extended outwards on raised wooden decks towards the Channel.

• Explore the channel and its environments any time of day or evening night game drives and guided bush walks with a guide on request.
• Indulge yourself with a cold beer and digital camera at well positioned hides for up-close wildlife -viewing.
• Spend hours photographing at Savuti Camp's wood-piled wildlife hide at the watering-hole in front of camp famous for breeding herd of elephant in drier winter months of June/July.
• Guests have a great opportunity to view the great game viewing concentrations in high seasons, in particularly in the winter dry months.
• Go on game drive and spot abundant of plains game such as roan and sable antelope species, southern giraffe, pride of lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyaena, black-backed jackal and African painted wild dog.
• Winter game drives give guests opportunity to sight unusual aardvark and aardwolf, which can be big tick-list on anyone's mammal lists.

Camp Accessibility:

Located in northern Botswana, the camp can only be accessed by a charter flight from Kasane/Maun town, the tourism capitals of Botswana, and then got transferred to the Camp by the game-viewing vehicle.
