Camp’s Quick Facts:

Stanley's Camp, was named after the prominent American Journalist who was sent to look for Dr. David Livingstone in Africa in early 1800s.and the camp is located on a 260 000 acre private concession in the Okavango Delta, bordering the Southern part of the Moremi Game Reserve, a home to a wide variety of big game safari viewing which includes elephant, buffalo, giraffe, leopard, cheetah, hippo, lion, and African painted wild dog.

Camp’s Bedrooms, bathrooms and Surrounding:

Stanley’s’ camp accommodation consists of eight luxurious stylish safari tents which exhale to give the classic African atmosphere with handcrafted beds dressed with the finest linen, antique furniture individually selected suit the oriental carpets that transport you back to early African 19th century. Each exquisite tent offers en-suite facilities, a private balcony, hammocks and Morris chairs on the balcony decks for a perfect relaxation in the African bush. The Camp’s main building area is raised on decking to offer expansive landscape views over the surrounding floodplains. Stanley's camp has been built and carefully blended into the existing tree line, its main support tree being a large (Kigelia Africana) sausage tree.

• Activities include serene mokoro canoe excursions (subject to water levels).

• Being located in a private concession, guests have an optional safari walking activities with armed professional guide.
• The choice of activities will not end there as a unique educational experience with a group of semi-habituated African elephants is also offered at Stanley's (at additional cost).

Camp Accessibility:

Located in Okavango Delta, the camp can only be accessed by a charter flight from Maun/Kasane town, the tourism capitals of Botswana, and then got transferred to the Camp by the game-viewing vehicle or mokoro ride/a boat depending the high water-levels in winter months of June/July.
