Camp’s Quick Facts:

Sussi & Chuma are named after David Livingstone’s faithful friends and consist of an exclusive, Up-market lodge and two exclusive houses, both of which take full advantage of their enchanting river-bank setting on the Zambezi River about 23 kilometres upstream from the Victoria Falls.

The Camp’s Bedroom, Bathroom and Surroundings:

Guest accommodation consists of twelve luxury tree-houses, built into the living canopy of giant ebony trees lining the river bank. Each unit has a private view of the mighty Zambezi from its own deck among the branches. The tree-houses are equipped with en-suite facilities, air conditioning, mini bar, mosquito nets, overhead fan and hair dryer. The central lodge building features a spectacular raised bar/lounge deck, open air dining area, curio shop, swimming pool and a spa which provide incredible views of the mighty Zambezi River. Meals are table d’hôte with a wide variety of dishes available, served alfresco, often around a campfire in the evening.

Camp Accessibility:

Situated in the northern region of the Kafue National Park in the famed Busanga Plains area, Shumba Bush Camp is accessed by charter flights from either Lusaka/Livingstone international airports as an easy access to the Camp due to its remote area.
