Camp’s Quick Facts:

Tubu Tree camp is built on the western side of Hunda Island and well located in a region with the most palatable grassland and the largest area of permanent dry land in the Okavango Delta's Jao Concession with water-inundated area. Tubu tree camp is surrounded by a diversity of habitats which consist of dry Kalahari sandveld to mopane and riverine forest on the edge of permanent waterways, ensuring variety of excellent safari game viewing. Camp’s Bedrooms, bathrooms and Surrounding: Tubu tree camp is built in a traditional style with five tents raised on wooden platforms, which permits great breeze views over Jao floodplains. Each tent consists of a private front deck, en-suite bathroom facilities and an outside shower. The main dining and lounge areas are also on raised platforms with outside pub area tucked under the canopy of a large marula tree. The camp has a plunge pool useful for cooling off during the heat of the day after morning safari activities.

• During the winter months normally May to September, the water levels rise and the floodplains become completely covered with water, thereby permitting water activities during the flood such as boating, fishing and mokoro trips.

Located in Okavango Delta Botswana, Tubu Tree camp can be accessed by a charter flight from Kasane/Maun town, the tourism capitals of Botswana, and then got transferred to the Camp by game-drive vehicles or Mokoro depending the level of the water raise in the Delta.
