Xigera Camp (pronounced in Setswana as; Keejera) it is perfectly located and hidden on the island in the heart of the Okavango Delta on untouched pristine area of Moremi Game Reserve. Xigera camp is well positioned in what is truly known as a wetland paradise surrounded by deep channels and lush riverine eco-systems with variety of vegetation scenic.

Camp’s Bedrooms, bathrooms and Surrounding:

The Xigera consists of ten luxury furnished tented rooms each with exquisite en-suite facilities and an outsider showers. The raised wooden platforms and walkways to tent offer a superb views of the seasonal floodplain, lagoon and a feel of living in the midst of a riverine forest. All meals and evening drinks are enjoyed in the lounge, Bar or dining area overlooking a permanently flowing channel views of the Delta or under the stars in a traditional African Boma style. For the guests who can not stand any hot summer days, a small plunge pool is available at the Camp to utilise after the morning safari activities. Using the footbridge connecting from Xigera's island to the next, sometimes guests get treated on close-up encounters on pride of lions or leopard sightings and the camp "newspaper" commonly known as (a sand pit built into the bridge to capture paw prints) read each morning to provide predator information or to unseen nightly visitors to camp.

• The Delta’s permanent water levels all year-round permits unparalleled various safari activities such as mokoro trips, game drives and powered motor-boat trips being the only camp in the area ensures total privacy and tranquil is enhanced.
• An old African styled crafted wooden mokoro dug-out canoe ride is the regular favored safari activities at Xigera camp. On this traditional dug-out canoe, the safari advantage is quietness sounds as guests rustling of the wind through the reeds, the lapping of the water against the boat, and hear the calls of the African Fish-Eagle unique in the area.
• The Blue sky mirrored in the water, provide the broken large round water lily leaves and produces their spectacular purple and white flowers.
• When water levels permit, game drives are an attraction and so as the during drier year season which offered all year round, but should very high floods prevails, game drives only take place from the months of late September to April.
• Xigera Camp has abundance bird-life which delights birdwatchers and Pel's Fishing-Owl, African Skimmer, Slaty Egret, Wattled Crane and a host of raptors, other waterbirds and colourful kingfishers can be found in the area.
• An abundance wildlife which comprises of; red lechwe, pride of lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyaena and the highest density of the rare sitatunga antelope in the Delta are the safari high-lights game-viewing at Xigera Camp.

Camp Accessibility:

Located in Moremi Game Reserve Botswana, Xigera Camp can be accessed by a charter flight from Kasane/Maun town, the tourism capitals of Botswana, and then get transferred to the Camp by game-drive vehicle.
