Zambezi Canoe Trail’s Quick Facts:

The Zambezi Canoe Trail is a highly personalised canoe safari trip. The safari begins at the west end of the scenic Mana Pools National Park, canoeing downriver to finish at the eastern end of the Park. All supplies are carried in a back-up Land Rover. Your mobile tented camp is set up prior to your arrival each night with all meals and camp chores provided by a camp crew.

The Camp’s bedrooms, bathrooms and Surroundings

The camps are positioned on the bank of the River with walk-in 9 foot by 9 foot en suite tents with a bucket shower under the African stars. A full back-up team construct the camps well ahead of your arrival at the different overnight sites. A typical day begins with an early morning wakeup call with coffee, tea, cookies, porridge and cereals, followed by a walk or canoe to your brunch stop along the banks of the River. You arrive into camp in time for afternoon tea with cakes and sandwiches before heading out on a game drive to see the interior of the Park with its extensive acacia woodlands. Traditional African sundowners are enjoyed as you watch the sun set. Dinner is enjoyed "al fresco" listening to the sounds of Africa!

Camp’s Quick Safari High-lights:

• It should be noted that the canoe trips do require a reasonable level of fitness and an adventurous spirit.
• Although the Canoe Guides can obviously adapt to each group's desires and capabilities, clients must have an adventurous spirit for this trip.
• After a leisurely brunch clients and the crew continue canoeing down-river with every possible chance to view sightings such as herd of buffalo, elephant, eland, kudu, waterbuck, hippo and crocodile along the way

Camp Accessibility:

The safari begins at the west end of the scenic Mana Pools National Park and the trip can be accessed by road on 4x4 authorised game-viewing vehicles from Kariba town.
