Zungulila Bush Camp: South Luangwa National Park, Zambia Safari

Camp’s Quick Facts:

Zungulila is a walking camp situated in an untouched section of the South Luangwa National Park, affording guests the rare opportunity to explore Africa as it used to be. Zungulila is one of six intimate bush camps operated by the Bush camp Company in South Luangwa, each with its own unique style. The other bush camps are Bilimungwe, Chamilandu, Chindeni, Kapamba, and Kuyenda. All of the camps are within walking distance of each other, thereof possible to walk through the park by day and camp at a new location at night.

The Camp’s Bedroom, Bathroom and Surroundings:

The camp is situated on a raised knoll overlooking an expansive plain. The plain contains a year round natural spring which cuts large pools through the landscape. To the left of the camp is a sweeping view of the Kapamba River. Each spacious tent has its own large private veranda, perfect for viewing the abundance of plains game that gathers to drink from the spring. Each tent is en suite, with hot and cold running water. Safari activities are conducted on foot in order to preserve the integrity of this unspoilt section of wilderness. Exploring this pristine region on foot harkens back to the exploratory days of Africa creating a truly authentic bush experience for walkers. The exploratory route that guests travel takes walkers along the Kapamba River through some of the most untamed sections of the bush. All game activities are limited to walking and no night drives are available.
